Matching Your Tea with Your Mood & Time of Day

There are 6 types of 'core' tea - the difference between each type of tea lies in how the leaves are processed — shaping flavor, aroma, and how the tea makes you feel. Each tea differs greatly on taste and they can each be enjoyed depending on your MOOD! Here is what I mean...

  • White Tea
Mood: Gentle • Calm • Slow Mornings
Taste: Soft, delicate, naturally sweet with hints of honey or melon
Feel: Light, soothing, and subtle — like a quiet exhale
Best time: Early mornings or moments of calm

  • Green Tea:
Mood: Focused • Clear • Refreshed
Taste: Fresh, grassy, or lightly nutty
Feel: Clean energy and mental clarity without jitters
Best time: Morning or mid-day focus

  • Yellow Tea:
Mood: Balanced • Soft • Grounded
Taste: Smooth and mellow with gentle sweetness
    Feel: Centering and refined
Best time: Late morning or early afternoon

  • Oolong Tea:
Mood: Creative • Centered • Nourished
Taste: Floral, fruity, creamy, or lightly toasted
    Feel: Grounding yet energizing
    Best time: Mid-day work blocks

  • Black Tea
Mood: Energized • Confident • Driven
Taste: Bold, rich, with malt, caramel, or cocoa notes
    Feel: Warming and motivating
Best time: Morning or early afternoon

  • Dark Tea (Pu-erh)
Mood: Grounded • Restorative • Deep Calm
    Taste: Earthy, rich, forest-like depth
Feel: Settling and grounding, often supportive after meals
Best time: After meals or evenings

Tea is a personal choice - there is no right or wrong answer!

Spill the tea! What is your favorite you have tried?
